Want a bite? Maybe some of you is wondering what is a rijst (rice) vlaai. It is actually a tart famously made only in the province of Limburg. Since i work in a bakery, i have seen different vlaais such as botter pudding (butter), kersen (cherry), abrikose (apricot), plums, aardbei (strawberry), apple, perzin (peaches) and other names that i don't know of. Here is a recipe from a friend who lives in Holland as well.
